This quote tickles me all the time. But there is so much truth in it as well. A home is where you unwind and escape. It is a place that stores all the wonderful memories of intimate dinner parties you host to a collection of travel trinkets you have collected. Home is the first impression of your personality.

A house is never complete until it becomes a home. That is where interior styling comes in. Layer by layer, texture by texture the home starts to shape up. My very first interior project was my own home. It was where I made design mistakes and learnt to decorate for less. We had a tight budget to work but every time someone visits, they will all go “wow this home is so you Pris!”.

Formally trained as a fashion designer, I had my dream clothing line and designed corporate uniforms for 10 years. Then I switched to design jewellery where I worked with a team of amazing artisans, which taught me so much about workmanship, project management and customer service.

On 9th of July 2018, I decided to take the plunge and start my own interior styling business STYLEDBYPT. I was blessed with the opportunity to design a few homes for friends and family prior to that and through word of mouth grew the business. I am a huge believer that your home should reflect you, your history, mementoes from travelling, gifts and childhood keepsakes. As an Interior stylist/designer I believe my role is to take your history, opinions and likes and filter them through my knowledge of design concepts, resources and experience to create the very best possible version of your taste.
